Empty Pipe?? foto: KB

Two of the last 4 days were clean so I figured I’d log as much time in the water as I could! The first clean day was good size but the direction was wrong for Pipe so Blacknutz and I ran down to Sunset. Unfortunately I broke my 7’6” soon after we paddled out. I walked back up to the house and couldn’t help but notice some perfect waves at the Beach Park. I grabbed my shortboard and got a sick little draining barrel to make up for braking my board. After the Beach Park Blaknutz and I went and shot some photos and video with Pete Frieden at Haleiwa. The waves were good and the crowd was light. We had a super fun session there I powered down to V-land and joined the rest of the surfing population on this island out there. This morning we woke to clean conditions and big swell. Reef and Healey were going out to Waimea so i borrowed a 10’4” single fin and paddled out. To my surprise the single fin actually felt good and I got some fun ones. Dupont even managed to squeak into a couple on his little 8’0”. Later in the afternoon the swell began to decrease and we all paddled out at Pipe. We were the only surfers out besides Jamie O so the crowd was nice! Got a few waves and then Reef cooked up a killer chili dinner. The conditions are suppose to stay clean so I look forward to the morning.. lates -KB
