Quiksilver’s very own Matt Manting was crowned King of the Groms earlier today as a part of the Quiksilver Pro France King of the Groms International Finals. The 15-year-old Australian Banting earned the King of the Groms Crown on the righthand waves of the Bourdaines Beach at Seignosse. Matt was truly stunning on the last day of competition. In the final heat, Brazilian Filipe Toledo was outwitted by Banting, full of confidence and at the top of his technical game (17.27 points for Matt against 14.57 for Filipe).
With this win, Matt adds this crown to his trophy cabinet already stuffed with national titles including the 2010 ISA World Champion.
