Today in Puerto Rico and in front of an enraptured crowd filled with family and friends, Quiksilver’s Kelly Slater made history today by capturing his 10th ASP World Title at Middles Beach. Kelly is the first surfer to ever achieve 10 ASP World Titles, which he accomplished over the past two decades of an astounding career during which he has dominated competitive surfing as both the youngest and oldest ASP World Champion.
Kelly clinched the title after putting on an incredible tube riding display in his quarterfinal heat against Brazil’s Adriano De Souza.
Congratulations Kelly on your incredible achievement!

After one of kelly’s heats at the Search PR, Kelly threw a Quiksilver cap at a big crowd and a little girl (who was in his father shoulders) catched the cap over the whole crowd …. It was a really cool and happy moment… Kelly smiled and signed lots of autographs and he took the time to signed the little girls cap… That’s a true champion!!!…
Wow , a perfect 10 in the final!!! What a great contest it was!!! Hope the ASP and Kelly comes back to Puerto Rico, soon…RCS still had 4 days in the waiting period and Double Over head waves are just arriving!…

I remember surfing with you at many ESA contest, sitting with you under the shack when it was pouring rain at a contest at Desperados after you got back from Australia, watching you win at the Sundeck classic at Holiday inn, racing our white civics down A1A to watching you rip 1st peak apart- I always knew you would be great, but man it’s been amazing watching you over the years, but now it’s been from my computer sitting in my office. I like your office much better! Great job on 10x world champion and thanks for keeping surfing alive for the world to see and in my heart…….
