Jeremy Flores Wins the ISA World Surfing Games; Gabriel Villaran 3rd

Quiksilver team rider Jeremy Flores of France won the 2009 ISA World Surfing Games in great waves in Costa Rica while Peru’s Gabriel Villaran finished 3rd. USA took the team gold and France finished 2nd.

Surfing through to the final via the repercharge heats Flores was the form surfer of the event repeatedly posting the highest heat scores of the entire competition. In the final, he put fellow finalists Cory Lopez, Ben Bourgeois and Villaran into a combination situation to seal the win.

Roxy team rider Rosy Hodge of South Africa finished 2nd in the Womens Division.
