Destination: Spring Break, Cabo San Lucas

There’s never a bad time to visit the southern most part of the Baja Peninsula, since the water constantly hovers around the mid to upper 70′s°F. Surfing, partying, and fishing are just a fraction of the activities to dive into.

1. Cabo Surf Hotel (SLEEP)

4. El Squid Roe (PARTY)
The party doesn’t stop at this multi-level nightclub, which stays open until 4 am. In the wee morning hours, hit up Taqueria El Venado behind the club for breakfast tacos. Cabo San Lucas; elsquidroe.com

5. Gordo Lele’s Taco Stand (EAT/DRINK)
This hole-in-the-wall taco and tortas joint is up the street from The Giggling Marlin, and the fresh fish tacos are made to order. Calle Mariana Matamoros, Cabo San Lucas

6. Surfsipuedes (SHOP)
This local shop is proud to rep Mexican surf culture and offers lessons, too. Two locations in San Jose del Cabo; surfsipuedes.com

7. Terranova (EAT/DRINK)
Housed in the wallet-friendly Posado Terranova Hotel, this restaurant serves up traditional Mexican breakfast in an awesome terrace setting (get the red and green chilaquiles!). San Jose del Cabo; hterranova.com.mx

8. Cabo Wabo Cantina (PARTY)
Cabo Wabo is known for its infamous parties, complete with the occasional Sammy Hagar cameo. Cabo San Lucas; cabowabocantina.com

9. El Michoacano (EAT/DRINK)
Famous for its carnitas (slow-roasted pork) that you can order by the pound and beloved by locals, this small chain serves up amazing handmade tortillas and salsa. Cabo San Lucas; losmichoacanos.com

10. Tropicana Inn (PARTY)
Live music plus tasty frosty beverages make the Tropicana Inn the place to be for salsa dancing on Friday and Saturday nights. San Jose del Cabo; tropicanainn.com.mx

EXTRA CABO SPOT:
Baja Blue
Drop in for a burger and stay to watch a game or two on satellite TV. There’s a mini-golf course in the back, too, so you can putt to your heart’s content. San Jose del Cabo; bajabluecabo.com
