QUIKSILVER Midwest Tour – Intro Update

    June 22, 2008

700+ people, 200 hot dogs, 120 burgers, 2 bundles of asparagus, and one hell of a good time!

The Quiksilver Skate Team threw down @ Powell skate park on day 2 of the Quiksilver Midwest Skate Tour. Not only at the park, but on the grill!

Jake Johnston, Justin Brock, David Clark, Alex Olson, Danny Garcia, Tim O’Connor, Reese Forbes and Bad Ass Beeson showed Ohio what’s up to the 700+ peeples who were on hand. This wasn’t just any ol demo, kids. This was a full on chill n grill skate session.
All the boys put a solid 3 hours+ in the park with the kids. Eating, skating and just kicking it. Handing out product. Signing everything kids threw at them.

Justin Brock broke his board into pieces just to give it out to the psyched kids hangn with him. This, all before the rain moved in. But it didn’t put a stop to the day. Just put a midwest swagger to the tempo.
Tour mascot, Dickie, had the grill going all day and made sure every mouth was fed. Big Hand Pat locked it all in on video and Joe Hammeke captured it all in still.
Props to MoDaddy who has been hustling the RV from the wake tour in Arizona to yesterday’s stop in Lexington. He’ll keep everyone styled in comfort and make sure all the boys are well rested between demo’s.

Big ups to EB who choreographed the tour with Holby, Dave & Rick.

Lookout for daily updates on the blog by Tim O’Connor complete with photos and videos.

    Peace

      3. Im sorry I had a typo in that last comment. I meant to say we probably *would have* hit it off, and I was saying that in reference to Reese Hufnagle. Sorry I meant Forbes. Farewell.
