If you blinked on Saturday in Mammoth you would miss something that was probably worth seeing. The day was jam packed with the Roxy Chicken Jam slopestyle and superpipe finals, the mascot superpipe competition, laps through the park, Todd Richards in a chicken suit, awards ceremonies, a live concert with the Bravery and N.A.S.A, and of course…after parties. With some many things that happened that day I figured I would let the photos do the talking. That’s a wrap for the 2010 Roxy Chicken Jam and Quiksilver Cluck Off.

Warm temps and sunny skies made for an amazing day at Mammoth on Friday. The Cluck Off big air competition kicked off with 8 locals competing for $1000 and bragging rights. Todd Richards and DC’s Sean Lake were on the mic’s for the event, hilarity ensued. Everyone threw down, but 16 year-old Tyler Flanagan ended up walking away with the win. The night ended with a bang….and a lot of dancing, at the Quiksilver party that went down at Whiskey Creek. Coverage from Saturday soon to come.

Early Thursday morning I made my way up through the hills, deserts, and mountains to catch the Roxy Chicken Jam and Quiksilver Cluck off up in Mammoth. The six hour drive from Southern California to Mammoth Lakes can be a daunting one, but the wide open landscapes made it pretty interesting. When I finally made it up to Mammoth, I was greeted by my friends decked out in sombreros, ran to the mountain, grabbed my credentials for the weekend, found some oversided hot dogs, and went with some friend to skate the Volcom Brother’s Skatepark that was mostly covered in snow. It was an interesting day to say the least. More coverage to come.
