What’s your role with Quiksilver?
Cell phone and skate.
What makes a skater a perfect match for Quiksilver?
The first thing that we all look for, besides the respect and talent, is the personality and chemistry with the rest of the team. It’s not true that you have to be a male model.
What special quirks do you have when setting up a board?

WSJ. Harvard Business Review and anything by Ken Wilbur.
What music have you been listening to?
Motown, Morrissey, Mobb Deep.
Best live show or concert you’ve ever seen?
Prince up in San Jose. Oh, and Ice-T at 930 Club back in D.C., Radiohead at Madison Square Garden, Kid A album I think.
What was your first pro graphic?
Me with goggles on and pool balls—made no sense, but I helped my buddy design it so it was special.
What’s the difference between East Coast and West Coast skateboarding
No difference at all. Skating right in the middle of any city no matter where has always been my favorite.
What’s the secret to a big ollie?
Favorite trick to do?
Do you have any pets?
I want a dog.
There Will Be Blood. Any western.

That guy at the park that is still skating because that’s all he loves to do. Guy, the Gonz—so many to name. Everyone I have had the fortune to skate with on all my teams.
