That’s It, That’s All…. That is Until Jake from Hi-Shredability Shows Up

Friday, March 20th, 2009

The Quiksilver and Red Bull folks got together last night for a screening of Travis Rice’s “That’s It, That’s All”, at Cinespace in Hollywood.  Director Curt Morgan took some questions from the audience following the screening, as everyone relaxed in the comfort of the dimly-lit Hollywood lounge.  Meanwhile, in the front bar-area of the venue, a party was stewing for the new Hollywood film feature, “I Love You, Man”. The movie’s street team descended onto the Quiksilver dudes, handing them t-shirts, and trying to get everyone photographed for marketing posterity. All hams at heart, the Quiksilver dudes obliged as the night quickly turned into a variety show of action sports culture and personality.  Pro snowboarder Austin Smith channeled skate legend Christian Hosoi, ripping his t-shirt to bits as he joined surf maniac and Hi-Shred producer Jake Burghart on the dance floor.  Adding to the insanity, Guadalajara Joe materialized the moment the Kamikaze bar opened its doors – please note G-Joe’s south-of-the-border-mustache. I’m sure the lovely ladies from the San Fernando Valley didn’t expect such a rush of surf/skate/snow dance moves and hi-jinks, but they were pleasantly surprised. Best dance moves of the night goes to Jake for what we called the “elastic superman” and “dancefloor ninjitsu”. For two years, snowboarder Travis Rice, Director Curt Morgan and a revolving cast of snowboarding’s most iconic riders traveled the world in search of conditions that capture the essence of snowboarding. With new technology and tricks, That’s It That’s All redefines the size and scope of an action sports film.

“Now after pouring blood, sweat, tears and soul into it, the film is out,” said Travis Rice, Snowboarder and Co-Producer. “We’re energized by the insane response the film’s receiving on tour and are so pumped to finally be dropping it into people’s hands.”

Using state of the art equipment with access to a dream team of snowboarders, the producers created a visual snowboard film that redefines the genre. For the first time in core action sports, cinematographers used the Wescam 35, to film stable follow-cam shots on snowmobiles and the Cineflex HD, to capture steady aerial shots from helicopters. This technology is put to good use in capturing the new tricks and locations discovered with a completely unique perspective similar to the highest quality nature films.

That’s it That’s All can be purchased on iTunes in the U.S. for $7.99. Search for the title on iTunes or link to it from Thatsit-Thatsall.com.
